A picturesque seaside community in a village type setting on the east coast of Vancouver Island and immediately north of Nanaimo and south of the City of Nanoose Bay and Parksville off the Island Highway 19. Lantzville may also be reached by sailing on BC Ferries from either the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal or Tsawwassen ferry terminal. Also, you may fly into the Nanaimo airport, located at the south end of the City or the Nanaimo harbour, located in downtown Nanaimo, via seaplane.
Lantzville is an area known for its small community charm and the residents feel very strongly in ensuring that it remains that way. Lantzville is a place where neighbours care about neighbours and a place where if you pass someone on the street you are greeted with a friendly ‘hello’ regardless of whether you’re a known resident or just visiting. Lantzville was a seaside suburb of the city of Nanaimo before becoming the 155st municipality of British Columbia in June 2003 and has an approximate population of 3,807.
